Scriptures:
Torah: Parshat
Terumah, 2nd Portion (Shemot (Exodus) 25:17-25:30)
Exodus 25:17-30
English Standard Version
17 “You shall make a mercy seat[a] of pure gold. Two cubits and a half
shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. 18 And
you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them,
on the two ends of the mercy seat. 19 Make one
cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with
the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. 20 The
cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with
their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces
of the cherubim be. 21 And you shall put the mercy
seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I
shall give you. 22 There I will meet with you, and
from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the
ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in
commandment for the people of Israel.
The Table for Bread
23 “You shall make a table of acacia
wood. Two cubits shall be its length, a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a
half its height. 24 You shall overlay it
with pure gold and make a molding of gold around it. 25 And
you shall make a rim around it a handbreadth[b] wide, and a molding of gold around the
rim. 26 And you shall make for it four rings of
gold, and fasten the rings to the four corners at its four legs. 27 Close
to the frame the rings shall lie, as holders for the poles to carry the
table. 28 You shall make the poles of acacia wood,
and overlay them with gold, and the table shall be carried with these. 29 And
you shall make its plates and dishes for incense, and its flagons and
bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. 30 And
you shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before me regularly.

Night’s Reading
Deuteronomy
10-12
Bible in A Year:
Exodus
35-36; Mark 7:31-37; Mark 8:1-13; Psalms 25:16-22
Observation
I pray the
Psalm of David in Psalms 25:16-22 in behalf of Daddy. Turn to me and be
gracious to me for I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are
enlarged (it’s too much for me to take) Consider my affliction and my troubles,
and forgive all my sins. I feel the mercy of GOD when JESUS in Matthew 7 when
people brought to JESUS a deaf and mute man and they begged JESUS to lay
His hands on him. When people come to
JESUS begging HIM for healing, HE always heals, HE always answers prayers
because HE is a prayer answering and faithful, merciful and gracious GOD.
Application
I will keep
praying and begging GOD to heal my father because not only did HE promise to
heal all the sick of HIS people but GOD is merciful and gracious and if I
continue to pray and beg GOD, like all of us are praying for Dad, GOD will hear
our prayers and the lame will be able to walk again. I know that my part is to
keep praying and trusting GOD for what HE has allowed Dad to go through. There
was a time that I felt very troubled and anxious for my father but right away
as I sought GOD about it, HE comforted me saying Psalms 18:31 For who is GOD,
but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our GOD? – 32 The GOD who equipped me
with strength and made my way blameless. 33 HE made my feet like the feet of a
deer and set me secure on the heights.
Prayers:
I have been
praying for GOD to encounter my father Dennis and that he will receive his
breakthrough during this time of prayer and fasting. That when Dad is really
weak, then GOD’s grace will work greatly in HIS weak state because GOD makes
him strong, and that my father will receive his miracle during this fast when
GOD heals his mind and enables him to surrender and die to himself instead of
living for himself.
