Jesus Heals a Woman and Jairus's Daughter
40 Now when Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him. 41 And there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue. And falling at Jesus' feet, he implored him to come to his house, 42 for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying.
As Jesus went, the people pressed around him. 43 And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians,[a] she could not be healed by anyone. 44 She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased. 45 And Jesus said, “Who was it that touched me?” When all denied it, Peter[b] said, “Master, the crowds surround you and are pressing in on you!” 46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone out from me.” 47 And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed. 48 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.”
49 While he was still speaking, someone from the ruler's house came and said, “Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more.” 50 But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.” 51 And when he came to the house, he allowed no one to enter with him, except Peter and John and James, and the father and mother of the child. 52 And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said, “Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.” 53 And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But taking her by the hand he called, saying, “Child, arise.” 55 And her spirit returned, and she got up at once. And he directed that something should be given her to eat. 56 And her parents were amazed, but he charged them to tell no one what had happened.
Luke 9:1-9

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles
1 And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, 2 and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. 3 And he said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.[a] 4 And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. 5 And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.” 6 And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
Herod Is Perplexed by Jesus
7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was perplexed, because it was said by some that John had been raised from the dead, 8 by some that Elijah had appeared, and by others that one of the prophets of old had risen. 9 Herod said, “John I beheaded, but who is this about whom I hear such things?” And he sought to see him.

My Help and My Deliverer
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry.
2 He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.
3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.
4 Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust,
who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie!
5 You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;
none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.
6 In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear.[a]
Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required.
7 Then I said, “Behold, I have come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me:
8 I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”

7 And if your offering is a grain offering cooked in a pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil. 8 And you shall bring the grain offering that is made of these things to the Lord, and when it is presented to the priest, he shall bring it to the altar. 9 And the priest shall take from the grain offering its memorial portion and burn this on the altar, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 10 But the rest of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the Lord's food offerings.
11 “No grain offering that you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven, for you shall burn no leaven nor any honey as a food offering to the Lord. 12 As an offering of firstfruits you may bring them to the Lord, but they shall not be offered on the altar for a pleasing aroma. 13 You shall season all your grain offerings with salt. You shall not let the salt of the covenant with your God be missing from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt.
14 “If you offer a grain offering of firstfruits to the Lord, you shall offer for the grain offering of your firstfruits fresh ears, roasted with fire, crushed new grain. 15 And you shall put oil on it and lay frankincense on it; it is a grain offering. 16 And the priest shall burn as its memorial portion some of the crushed grain and some of the oil with all of its frankincense; it is a food offering to the Lord.

Observation
2 Samuel 3
Abner joins David because he was acused by Saul's son who is the new King of Israel of commiting adultery with a woman. Whether Abner was guilty of such sin or not, I believe this was only GOD's way of bringing Israel together under the kingship of David. Yet it was not long after that Joab murders Abner for killing his brother in war. Joab was ruthless and had no regard for no one not even the King of Judah who was his uncle David.
2 Samuel 4
Ish-bosheth the king of Israel was murdered by his grandfather Saul's captains of raiding bands. These captains were loyal to Saul until Abner decides to submit to David as their king. They wanted to do the same because they probably felt the Kingdom under Saul's family is already falling apart but they did it wrongfully by killing their "king" and presenting his head to David and this act of violence made David reject them because these men did not prove any loyalty or respect at all to Saul and his family who was still David's father in law. So in turn David kills the captain of Saul's raiding band.
2 Samuel 5
David Anointed King of Israel after 7 years reigining in Judah, GOD finally fulfills HIS promise to David by giving him the entire Nation after 7years leading Judah who was his family. I realized how much trouble David went through when GOD promised him such a thing, from the day the Prophet Samuel declared he will be King until the time that it finally happened, had been so difficult for David and all the troubles he went through just because GOD had chosen him. It's not easy to be a servant of GOD, or to even follow GOD can sometimes really bring distress and pain in you. But GOD is faithful, HE will carry YOU through the difficult and high waters, and throught he firey flames of trials, GOD will make it happen as long as we do not stop following GOD. Did David give up on the idea that GOD wanted him to be king?? He probably did, because he just wanted a peaceful life, but his life was full of battles and wars that he did not even chose to be in. But even if he gave up on the idea, GOD did not, because GOD had chosen him, GOD has made up HIS Mind about David and because David loved GOD more than anyone or anything, GOD fulfilled every Promise HE spoke to David.
Application
I honestly just want peace and rest upon my life, I do not want troubles, I do not want battles, I do not want trials but like David, I have no choice but to fight the battles that GOD brings me through, because as long as GOD lives, HE will redeem my life out of every adversity and trial, just as HE redeemed David's life out of it. I do not want to be queen, or to rule or reign a business empire, I just want peace and joy because I am already content where I am. But still I cannot help but desire to be married because I desire to be loved. Maybe David also felt the same way, he didn't desire the troubles that led him to be King, but he desired to rule and reign as King because GOD put it in his heart. How I wish I can put out of my heart the desire to be married because I know how much trouble and hardship marriage brings. I am still in the middle of my parents marriage, even being in their home and working for them alone is giving me so much hardship how much more will I suffer hardship, ruling and running my own house with my husband, how much harder will it be to be on my own and not to be covered safe under my parent's covering, but I am not safe in their covering anyway, I am fighting for us everyday. I might as well be under my husband's covering who is responsible and loving, and we can both run our household and family smoothly.
